Part-Time Infant Nanny, Seattle (Leschi)

First-time parents are seeking an experienced, nurturing, and dependable nanny to provide loving care for their newborn. The family is looking for a calm, confident professional who can offer guidance and support as they navigate life with a new baby. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on infant experience and a proactive approach to supporting both the baby's development and the overall needs of the household as they relate to childcare.

Job Details:

Schedule: 20 hours, 4 days a week (Flexible Scheduling)
Living Situation: Live-Out
Position: Part-Time, Long Term
Start Date: Sept 14th (Flexible)
Children: Newborn (6-8 weeks old)
Pay: $30-35 per Hour (Depending on Experience & Fit)
Commitment: Mid January 2027

*Role may evolve or shift more full-time mid Jan 2027, depending on needs of the nanny/family at the time

Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide attentive, loving care for a newborn infant

  • Support feeding schedules, naps, and daily routines

  • Monitor developmental milestones and age-appropriate activities

  • Maintain a safe, clean, and nurturing environment for the baby

  • Assist with baby-related laundry, bottles, and nursery organization

  • Track feedings, sleep, and developmental updates as requested

  • Offer guidance and reassurance to first-time parents when appropriate

  • Facilitate tummy time, sensory activities, and developmental play

  • Maintain open and professional communication with parents

  • Support the establishment of healthy routines and sleep habits

Requirements:

  • Significant hands-on newborn experience, including caring for infants under 3 months old

  • Minimum 5 years of professional nanny experience

  • Strong understanding of infant development and age-appropriate care

  • Infant CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain before start date)

  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

  • Excellent professional references from previous families

  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background check

  • Non-smoker

  • Authorized to work in the United States
